Looks like i've finally succumb to the world of bloggers...thus begins my journey of blogging.
Its a long weekend, i don't need to work this weekend (rare occasion but still have some workload to settle la). That leaves me with time to read, clean my habitual place, do my laundry, practice my tambourine & banner steps for sunday (i forgot some as usual), meeting up with friends and take time off to recharge for a crazy week awaiting me. Hey phui, if you are reading this...i miiiiisssss you a whole lot!!! And SL, my dear 'bla-duh', if you are reading this, i can visualise you menggeleng-gelengkan kepala. hehe
Read an article today on the dismissal of Krishen Jit, a prominent figure in the Malaysian theatre scene...it actually touches my heart. He was a difficult man to work with, as many claimed but nevertheless for those who have had the privileged to work under and with him, indeed, he has left footprints in their hearts.
I had the honor of meeting him when i was an undergraduate almost 4 years ago. Didn't know who he was then. Today's article made me realised how much i missed the theatre life i onced shared with a small handful in my uni days. I learnt more than just the stage or performance, so much more...friendships were built so strongly (that's where i first met my now good friend cum junior, phui). In my final year, the theatre house was my second home. Sadly, its no longer there today in UPM. The authorities refused to approved the status many lecturers have fought for through the years.
A salute to my lecturers for pushing me further than i can ever imagined i could achieve : Rey Buono, Eric Trules & Rohaizad Suaidi.
One day, i hope to continue the passion for theatre once more...God willing
