  • And they talk about God's love, that we should accept homosexuals as God loves them too. Yea we should accept everyone regardless of who they are but accepting is different from agreeing and condoning to that kind of lifestyle.
Have they also forgotten that God is Holy? There's also His Wrath? Do they really think that they can justify such acts?

We should hate the sin, not the sinner.
    We need to pray...

    1 Corinthians 6:9
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

"Have they also forgotten that God is Holy?"

Did you assume that the so called holiness of God includes His hatred towards homosexuality?

Did you assume that homosexuality is a sin just like adultery or murder?

Did you assume that there is another way?

Did you assume a position of holier than thou superiority to pray for "sinners" such as Rev Ou Yang and his friends?

Alas for the love of God.

Hi joseph, thank you for your comments :) (do i know you in person?)

First of all, referring to 1 Cor 6:9, it is written clearly do not be deceived. Hence, these are not assumptions

Did you assume that the so called holiness of God includes His hatred towards homosexuality?
In His Holiness, He hates homosexuality but not the homosexuals. Therefore, the sin and not the sinners.

Did you assume that homosexuality is a sin just like adultery or murder?
There's no big / small sins or any categories. A sin is a sin without comparison

Did you assume that there is another way?
Don't quite get this, perhaps you'd like to explain a little more what do you mean by this? :) So that I understand you first before commenting. TQ

Did you assume a position of holier than thou superiority to pray for "sinners" such as Rev Ou Yang and his friends?
Prayers is not a mark of superiority. We pray because we care enough to talk to God about this. I'm sure if you are a Christian, you do pray for the people you care about, do you do it because you feel superior than them or you care enough for those people whom you prayed for?

This honestly doesn't bode well. But really sometimes i wonder what are we to do about it. If we say no, then we shall be charged for not being open-minded. But it is hard...In my line alone most of the people in my departments are well..'not straight' but the most i can do is just show them that i am undisturbed by their behaviour. More so i pity and feel sympathetic towards them.

Already they are discriminated and sometimes i feel as a christian, it is hard to comfort them as you know the lifestyle they do is unholy.
..think it calls for another agora session...lol.

I hope that even when this 'reverand' comes, people will not be blinded to think it is ok for christian's to be gay.
    Sorry long winded...I'll stop. Cheers

Yes i agree this is a tough issue for christians to deal with, most of the time not knowing what would be the best respond we should give.

But I believe if we really love them, the more we must let them know that we do not agree or condone to such behaviour in wise and non-offending ways. In order to do this, we ourselves have our parts to play on equipping ourselves with the right words to say, not based on our own understanding but of Scriptural Truths in helping them to find their true identities

But at the end of the day, it all boils down to whether they tthemselves are willing to seek help further lor
